    Apply now for a Carol Duval Memorial Award

    Funds to support your arts career

    The Carol Duval Memorial Award is generously provided by the Duval Family, in memory of Carol Duval, a former fine arts teacher at ɫֱHunter Street to support a student to launch their fine arts career.

    Students enrolled in the Diploma of Visual Arts (CUA51120), or Bachelor of Creative Practice (HE20634) are invited to submit an artwork as entry to be awarded $1,000 to the successful applicant.

    Applications for the Carol Duval Memorial Award close 9 am (AEST), Thursday 20 August 2026.

    Who can apply?

    To be eligible for the Carol Duval Memorial Award, you must:

    • Be enrolled in a Diploma of Visual Arts (CUA51120), or Bachelor of Creative Practice (HE20634) at TAFE NSW
    • Reside and study within the Hunter or Central Coast regions
    • Demonstrate commitment to your study and career goals by displaying high-level artistic merit, listing achievements or identifying your skills and strengths.
    • Not be in receipt of another award, scholarship or prize presented by the Hunter TAFE Foundation within the last twelve (12) months.
    • Applicant must accept Terms and Conditions outlined in the Carol Duval Memorial Award.
