A corporate and academic governance structure and guiding principles are applied to the delivery of TAFE NSW’s Higher Education programs.
The Australian Government is committed to helping more people earn bachelor’s degrees, especially those from lower socio-economic backgrounds. ɫֱHigher Education supports this by using our strong reputation and expanding educational options.
We aim to:
offer students from all communities the chance to gain higher education qualifications
teach skills and knowledge in industry-focused learning environments
encourage students to explore and develop a strong level of enquiry
expand the range of quality higher education programs that meet industry needs
provide more opportunities for staff to grow their academic capabilities.
You can participate in student representative bodies like the Campus Reference Groups (CRG) at each ɫֱHigher Education campus. By joining the CRG you can give independent advice to campus leadership and theTAFE NSWHigher Education Academic Council.

The Higher Education Governing Body oversees the corporate governance of Higher Education. This structure ensures that our higher education courses are managed separately from our vocational education and training (VET) courses.
TheTAFE NSWHigher Education Academic Council protects the academic integrity of our programs and ensures we meet our educational goals. It is chaired by Emeritus Professor Ross Harley, former Dean of Art and Design at UNSW.

TheɫֱɫֱSenior Leadership TeamSenior Leadership Team has responsibility for the day-to-day management of ɫֱHigher Education programs. The team handles the efficient conduct of the ɫֱHigher Education operations. Its members include the Managing Director and all chief officers.
