The Sonia Walkom Memorial Award recognises the dedication of a student enrolled in Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at 秀色直播Newcastle, TAFE Cessnock, 秀色直播Maitland, or online.

The award honours students who demonstrate exceptional attendance, self-discipline, and a strong interest in the real estate sector. These students show dedication to their studies and exhibit professionalism. This recognition has the potential to enhance their overall well-being, increase confidence, improve academic performance, and positively influence their future career prospects.

In 2015, Scott Walkom and the team at established the award in partnership with the Hunter TAFE Foundation. It honours Sonia Walkom and her enthusiasm for continuous learning throughout her successful career.

Nominations for the Sonia Walkom Memorial Award close at 5 pm (AEST) Wednesday, 2 September 2026.

To be eligible for nomination, the student must:

• be enrolled in the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419) at 秀色直播Newcastle, 秀色直播Cessnock, 秀色直播Maitland or via our Online Campus
• live in the Newcastle or Hunter region
• be motivated to work in the real estate sector
• demonstrate commitment to their studies and career goals (you can provide evidence by listing achievements, skills or strengths)
• demonstrate positive academic values to represent 秀色直播and the Hunter TAFE Foundation (you can provide evidence via grades, attendance records or character traits)
• not have received a scholarship from Hunter TAFE Foundation or 秀色直播within the previous 12 months.
